Your wedding photography
You Keep The Photos, You Keep The Memories, You Keep The Negatives
Planning Your Wedding Photography
Create a photo sample clip file
composed of images you like from magazines or
newspapers. Whether or not they are wedding
photographs, they should express moods and
feelings to capture on your wedding day.
Let's schedule a visit to your wedding
venue before your wedding. Bring along your sample
clip file and wedding photo checklist. We'll plan
how and where we'll shoot the best photos for you!
At this meeting please let me know any special
wishes that you might have, so that I can make
your wedding shots truly personal. If your package
includes an engagement portrait this is when we
shoot it, so we should discuss your wardrobe
before this meeting.
Many of the greatest photo opportunities
present themselves as the bride & bridesmaids
and groom & groomsmen are getting ready for
the wedding. When planning your wedding day,
remember to allow enough time for these
preparation photos. Remember also to allow enough
time for me to get to each photographic location
and then to the wedding venue before you. Don't
drink alcohol before the wedding to calm any pre-
wedding nerves, it will really show up in your
photos.
The best time to shoot the most important
photographic portraits of the day is after your
wedding service. Plan on 60-90 minutes
for this photo session. This needs to be just the
two of you and myself, no bridesmaids, groomsmen,
families, etc. . . no distractions! These will be
your most treasured photographs. Also, please be
sure to let me know any special wishes you might
have about these photos.
Next, we will photograph the wedding party
& families. Please plan on at least 60-90
minutes for this. These photos will be some of the
most important we shoot, so please let everyone
included know that these shots will take some
time. It's a good idea to designate a family
member or someone from the bridal party to work
with me so that we don't leave anyone important
out of these photos.
The best way to get a truly spectacular wedding
portrait . . . is to shoot it on another day! If
we shoot these special photos on another day when
you aren't so stressed, we can really control the
environment. Think about it and let's talk!
If you are not working with a wedding
coordinator, please create a time line for your
wedding and reception. This way I can work with
the caterers, DJ or band, etc. and we can all flow
together.
Please call me at anytime with any
questions, thoughts or concerns you might have. I
really am here to try and make your wedding easy
and special.
