I (Ted Waring) am a professional photographer on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I run Tamarack Photography here in Victoria, B.C. I specialise in capturing the beauty presented in weddings and environmental portraits, in both B&W and colour.

In 1981 I completed my Photo- journalism degree from the University of Victoria. I have been working in the photographic field since 1968 and have been serving Victoria and West Coast weddings since 1975. In the last 20 years I have photographed over 500 weddings. I am well known thoughout the Victoria metro area where I have gained a considerable reputation for my photographics work.

I was born and raised in Victoria and have extensive knowledge of the exciting and remarkable settings that I use for my backdrops, some of the most beautiful in Canada. My wedding travels have taken me to many locations on Vancouver Island, as well as the Lower Mainland.
