Ted Waring has been working in the photographic field since 1968. Ted was born in Victoria and has extensive knowledge of its exciting and remarkable wedding photography settings. He completed his degree in Photo-journalism in 1981 from the University of Victoria - Canada. Ted Waring is known throughout Vancouver Island for extensive work in sports photography and for 20 years of, wedding photography. In that time he has photographed over 500 weddings

Tamarack Photography (Victoria-wedding.com) has been serving Victoria and the West Coast since 1975. Ted Waring has been working in the photographic field for many years. He completed his University of Victoria Photo-journalism degree in 1981 and has studied and worked with Will Dantene of Will Dantene Photography.

Cameras, Lighting, Film, Action! When I photograph your special wedding day I use two Nikon F90x cameras bodies with 28-105mm and 100-300mm zoom lenses as well as the other photographic equipment listed on this page.

Our Wedding Photography Services: Tamarack Photography offers a variety of pricing and service levels.... Silver, Platinum and Diamond. With all levels, Ted meets with the Bride and Groom prior to the wedding to discuss the particulars of their day. Times, places, special arrangements are all covered. Every aspect of the day is noted, including any very special moments where photography is essential. All finished photographs are mounted and presented in a white wedding album for the bride and groom to enjoy for years to come.

Silver Level

The Silver Wedding Photography Package: The Silver Wedding Level includes photographs of the groom and his groomsmen, the remainder of the bridal party and the bride, photographs of those intimate moments the bride may have with her parents, maid of honour and other members of her family, shots throughout the ceremony, including the processional down the aisle, the exchange of vows, ring exchange, the kiss, signing the register, presentation of the couple, the recessional, the bridal party, and the couple kissing and embracing. Platinum Level

The Platinum Wedding Photography Package: All services provided with the Silver Level Wedding Level are included in The Platinum Wedding Level. In addition it includes photographs at two or more locations with the bridal party after the wedding, and a wide variety of shots at the reception. These cover the bridal party entrance, toasts, speeches, cake cutting, first dance, family dancing, throwing the garter and flowers and candid shots of the bride and groom visiting their guests.

Diamond Level

Wedding Photography Packages Diamond: All services of the Silver and Platinum Wedding Levels are included at our very best level of coverage. The Diamond Level covers the photographer attending the rehearsal, shots of the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready, the brides family, leaving the brides home, all on the wedding day prior to the wedding. The complete coverage at the wedding location, the bride and groom's family shots, the bridal party shots at a variety of locations and all shots at the reception.

Saxe Point
|
|
Beautiful gardens and green lawns abound throughout the park, alongside forest groves of arbutus and fir trees. The area also offers wide expanses of natural rock outcroppings and sheltered beaches. All make for wonderful settings for your wedding photographs.

University of Victoria
|
|
UVic campus is only a short walk away from the ocean. The Finnerty Gardens within the grounds are home to a huge collection of rhododendrons, alongside many other varieties of plants.

Esquimalt Lagoon
|
|
This picturesque salt water lagoon is situated on the south end of Vancouver Island and allows views of Olympic Mountains as well as panoramic views of the city of Victoria.

St. Ann's Academy

St. Ann's Academy (est. in 1858), is situated close to the government and legislative buildings in downtown Victoria. The grounds of St. Ann's Academy have evolved through time, for many uses. Over the years they have satisfied meditative and recreational needs for the citizens of Greater Victoria.

Royal Roads - Hatley Gardens

The gardens are surrounded by forest exhibiting many of the flora types on Vancouver Island. They border the saltwater Esquimalt lagoon, a renowned bird and wildlife sanctuary. One can look across the straits of Juan de Fuca at Olympic Mountains in Washington State.

Crystal Gardens

The Crystal Garden Conservation Centre boasts Fountains, waterfalls, and tropical gardens all housed indoors all beneath an incredible glass roof. It makes a truly perfect setting for the intimate photos you'll need.

Nestled in the heart of Oak Bay, this spectacular Government House is one to behold. The expansive lawns and beautifully cared for gardens are a wonder to behold for your special day. A giant willow tree embraces a small pond and waterfall that make this area a must for your wedding photographs.

Legislative Buildings
|
|
For that Mediterranean look, the bride and groom are photographed at the Parliament Buildings and grounds. At this location, with its columns and massive granite structures, black and white photographs are a must! They were designed by Frances Mawson Rattenbury, an architect responsible for several other buildings in Victoria.

Beaconhill Park

A wonderful location for wedding photography, the beautifully landscaped park, designed by Scotsman John Blair features quaint bridges over lakes and ponds along with alpine and rock gardens.

Goldstream Park

Goldstream Provincial Park boasts majestic waterfalls and twisting streams and rivers amongst its attractive features. An area of luxurious dark forest foliage, gigantic, old growth cedars and spectacular vistas of the natural beauty of the area Trails meander through six hundred year old Douglas firs, red cedars, yews and alders, maples, arbutus and dogwoods.
